Power Button Not Working
If your remote works fine except that the power button does not turn your TV on and off, you can try the following steps to reset most Fire TV remotes:
Resetting Fire TV Remote
1. Unplug your Fire TV from the power supply and HDMI input.
2. Wait 60 seconds.
Alternative Solution
If your remote is working but won't turn off your TV, try the following steps:
1. Go to Settings on your Fire TV.
2. You should be able to depress the home button on the remote to wake up the Fire stick.
